Our Lean Green Belt program offers a strong balance between theory and practice. Through a wide range of practical assignments and case studies, you immediately apply what you have learned to real-life situations.
The Lean Green Belt online training is designed for managers, project leaders, and consultants who have (or will take on) a leading role in Lean improvement projects. It is also suitable for employees who are or will be involved in improvement initiatives and want to contribute actively. No specific prior education is required to participate.
The Lean Green Belt online training consists of 8 sessions of 3 hours each.
In addition to the Lean Green Belt online training, we also offer a classroom-based program.

In the Lean Green Belt online training, we cover the fundamentals of Lean, including the background and history of Lean and Six Sigma, as well as the House of Toyota. You will also gain a deep understanding of processes: what they are, when to start a Lean project, which type of project to start with, and how to set it up successfully. In addition, you will learn how to visualize a process in different ways.
After the training, you will be able to independently initiate a Lean project and successfully bring it to completion. You will know how to apply a variety of Lean tools and techniques in your own work or projects. You will also understand how to continuously improve your own work.
Furthermore, you will develop insight into the impact of change on both employees and the wider organization, and how to respond effectively. Through a variety of assignments, you will experience both the power of collaboration and the resistance that can arise when implementing change. You will clearly see that a successful outcome (an improved process) can only be achieved by combining the right technical approach with strong teamwork.

All our trainings are guided by our professional, certified trainers.
You will be trained in accordance with the international requirements for a Lean Green Belt.
Upon completion of the training, you will receive a Certificate of Participation.
English Lean Green Belt exam
You can choose to pursue the Lean Green Belt certificate. You will earn this by successfully completing the online theory exam, which consists of 80 multiple-choice questions. You pass the exam if you answer at least 70% of the questions correctly.
The online exam is available at 14 locations across the Netherlands and can be taken on any weekday (sometimes also on a Saturday) at a time that suits you best.
Practical Certification
If you want to become a Certified Lean Green Belt, you will complete this learning track with the practical certification. For this, you need to successfully complete 1 improvement project using the Lean approach. You will present the approach and results to the exam committee. You pass with a minimum score of 7.0! To register for the practical certification, you can also use the exam schedule.

As a Green Belt, you’ll spend about 20% of your time identifying problems, implementing solutions, and optimizing processes, leaving plenty of room for other tasks. A Black Belt, on the other hand, dedicates more time to Lean Six Sigma, working on more complex problems and leading multiple improvement projects. Green Belts focus on solving issues within a single department, similar to a project manager’s responsibilities. Black Belts have broader responsibilities and take on leadership roles.

Yes, that’s possible. There is no prior training required to take the Lean Green Belt course. The course starts with the basics and gradually delves deeper into the subject matter.
